Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a selling event like every event?

There will be several speakers but not every speaker will be selling a product. Expect 98% content instead of 100% selling.

What content will be taught?

The current economic situation will be discussed along with the rand and the future prospects of South Africa. The billionaires, multi-millionaires and industry tycoons will share their strategies to success, best practices in marketing, branding, and sales. There will be a lot of focus on growing one's business, starting your first business and hiring and keeping the right people. Some of the content will probably be the most advanced you have heard, which will explain why you will also see a lot of high end entrepreneurs at this event.

What is the Dress Code?

Business attire: preferably a suit but at least business casual. Jeans, shorts, T-shirts and sandals are not allowed. People who do not conform to the dress code will unfortunately be turned away.

After leaving Facebook, she launched Zuckerberg Media, with the mission of creating media content that puts intelligent, tech-savvy, entrepreneurial women and girls at the forefront. She has published two books: Dot Complicated, a New York Times Best Seller, about our (sometimes overly) wired lives, and Dot, a children's book about a tech-savvy little girl, airing as an animated children's show on NBC Sprout, in partnership with Jim Henson Productions. Randi's third book, Missy President, a graphic novel about a 9-year-old girl who becomes President, is set for release this Fall.

When she's not creating content about entrepreneurs, she is investing in and supporting them. She enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs, building the next generation of amazing businesses, and sharing best practices with audiences around the world. But above all, Randi's favorite job is mom.

Robert Gumede

Ever since Robert was a child, he wanted to become a detective, so he studied Law at the University of Zululand. After completing his degree, Robert moved to Nelspruit and worked in the magistrate’s office, he then worked as an advisor in the Ministry of Justice. He had to leave government in 1988 due to his political activeness. This became the defining moment for him where he then started selling clothes like his mother used to do, to earn a living. With his savings, Robert bought a soccer club called ‘Dangerous Darkies’ and worked as a business consultant in the Nelspruit area at the age of 25.

As a consultant, Robert was exposed to various industries and opportunities. He then focused his attention back onto his other business venture and carried on consulting while living in Johannesburg. Robert identified another opportunity in the IT industry through consulting and this is when he started Gijima Technologies.

Since the teething stages of Gijima Technologies, under Robert’s stewardship the company has grown to the fore of IT in South Africa. In just over five years, the new company grew from ten people to one of South Africa’s largest black-owned IT companies that had clinched government deals worth more than R1.5 billion and had ventured into African countries, such as Nigeria. The IT company services have branched out into telecommunications, networking infrastructure, smartcard technology and EasyPay transaction switch.

Robert’s company services 90 of the top 100 companies in South Africa. He laments that one could hardly wish for a stronger base. He believes in hard work and having the courage to jump at any opportunity that presents itself to you now, before someone else does.
